Home, but Not for Long

I AM HOME!!!!!

I finally received the upmost pleasure of returning home to Pemberley. When I arrived, one of the servants told me that one of the maids was giving a tour of the house to some people passing through Lambton. I did not think much of it because I am used to strangers touring the house. Every time passersby come through the town, they want a tour of the house. I guess, its grandeur size intrigues people. I decided to take a stroll through the garden. In the garden, I caught a glimpse of our visitor. It was Elizabeth Bennet. She was with her Aunt and Uncle Gardiner. I walked over and started to speak to her, when the maid embarrassingly said, “Oh, Mr. Darcy, I am so sorry, sir, I did not know you were home.” I told her it was all right that I knew Miss Bennet, and then asked if it was all right if I tagged along on their tour. Everyone, except Elizabeth, was thrilled. Elizabeth gave me a go dig a hole, bury yourself, and die in it, look. I tagged along. Elizabeth and I were in the back of the group just walking silently. I finally asked if her family was well to get the conversation going. After the walk, I invited them to join Georgiana and me for lunch. Elizabeth said that they needed to get going, but the Gardiners gratefully accepted the invitation. I took them back to where they were staying. Elizabeth received a letter and started to cry. I asked her what was wrong and she showed her uncle and me the letter. I immediately took off to London without them knowing, and Mr. Gardiner went to take Elizabeth home to Longbourne.
